ECCA 10

Saturday 2nd August - E2/10

Both Julia Freeman and Andy Ballentyne rode the ECCA event which was preference for the slowest 150 riders that entered. Julia was off about 2 hours before Andy and recorded a rapid 21.58 for first Lady and also take another big chunk off her own 50-59 record that she set a few weeks before. She also broke the overall club Vets 50-59 age record that Brian Budd set in 1995 with a time of 22.07.
Andy was off second to last and although it rained just before his start time, the wind also dropped and he went round in 21.43 to lower the new 50-59 record set by Julia earlier. Fastest was last man off Terry Garlinge who was just outside the 30 mph barrier in 20.01.
